I’ve been eyeing the A6 TDI for a little bit. Everything looks good on pap er and I even went and test drove one near me but I feel like I ’m missing something. Does anyone in the OPPO collective have any experie nce with these?

Do these have any carbon build up issues?

I’d rather drive a Versa than take the bus.

They’re fairly solid and as reliable as you can expect from an Audi. Price is high by about $3-4K based on what I’m seeing on the east coast.

What did A udi do in terms of fixes/buybacks for their TDIs? I think they were putting out like 40x more e missions than allowed or something? In any event, there is a certain novelty in having a car that sent several Germans to jail.

Yeah, this one was on the first page of A utotrader. Not the exact one I had driven, but close and a bit more expensive.

I haven’t seen anything about carbon build up issues. I’d imagine they would have similar issues as the VW TDI, on the other hand these have the urea injection already built in so perhaps not.

From what I’ve just read now, every fix VW/Audi has proposed for the 3 litre TDI has been rejected by the US Government.
